Rob Rosolanko On The Best Ways to Enjoy a Day in The Fall in Syracuse

Having spent much of his life in Syracuse, NY, Rob Rosolanko cannot say enough good things about the Syracuse area in the Autumn months. Robert Rosolanko of Syracuse understands that most people associate Syracuse with the University of Syracuse and their nationally recognized football program. At the same time, it is true that spending a fall Saturday at a Syracuse game is an incredible way to spend an afternoon. Today’s article will touch on other ways people can enjoy their Syracuse stay this autumn.

One of the things Rob Rosolanko loves most about the fall season in Syracuse is the sheer beauty of the fall foliage. Drivers from all around New York will head to Syracuse for no other reason than to take in the surroundings of the changing leaves reflecting off the blue waters of Green Lakes State Park. There are also plenty of excellent paths and hikes available to hop out of the car and take pictures that your friends and family won’t believe are real. Rob Rosolanko believes that anyone interested in the beauty of changing leaves should make an appointment to visit upstate New York during the fall season.

Rob Rosolanko notes that Syracuse has plenty of the traditional fall activities you can find across the United States. Rob Rosolanko believes that Syracuse just does things a bit better. For instance, pumpkin picking in Syracuse is second to none. There are many different farms to choose from that have huge pumpkin patches. These areas also offer all of the other fun fall activities for the whole family to enjoy from hayrides to mazes. Around Halloween a lot of these farms turn into haunted hayride destinations. It’s also not uncommon to find events at these barns that have live music, baked goods, funnel cake, and all of the other fixin’s for a memorable Autumn evening.

Rob Rosolanko notes that Syracuse not only has incredible options for pumpkin picking, but it also features some of the best apple orchards along the east coast. For instance, Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards has been attracting guests from across the state for over 100 years. People love to pick apples in their vast apple fields and then head over to their country gift shop where they can find everything from crafts and apple cider to cheeses and apple cider donuts.

For those bringing their kids with them to Syracuse this fall, Rob Rosolanko recommends taking advantage of Halloween at the Park. This a family-friendly drive-thru experience. It is designed to bring smiles more than it is designed to shock or scare. The LED light displays, large wooden structures and costumed actors provide a little something for everyone to enjoy. Those without kids could head to the Syracuse Haunted History Trail Spots. These ghost walks in a number of historic upstate New York locations provide a chilling picture of different haunted locations. The actors dressed up like historical figures of the past are clearly having a lot of fun and audiences rave about how fun the tours can be.

Fishing in Syracuse is prevalent during the fall season. Syracuse is known for having some of the country’s best brown trout fishing locations. There are plenty of places to fish where you can walk up to the water and cast a line, but there are also options for those looking to get a guided fishing experience. Either way, the fishing season does not end in the summer in Syracuse, New York.

Finally, Robert Rosolanko has to mention the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. This zoo not only has all of the animals any animal lover would hope to see during their zoo visit, but it also has a boo at the zoo event every October that brings families from all over Syracuse. It’s a great way to let the kids run around in their Halloween costumes while learning more about animals.
